The women of WINGS invite you to our next event which will address girls’ education as a tool to empowering women and enabling them to fulfill their potential. We are excited to welcome Robin Mednick, the founder and president of the Pencils for Kids foundation. In addition to having an M.A. from Oxford University in Politics and Economics and a degree in Law from Osgoode Hall, Robin’s accomplishments include creating and co-editing the bestseller, Heroes in Our Midst, Top Canadian Athletes Share Personal Stories.

Pencils for Kids is a charitable grass roots organization that believes in the power of creating connections through small scale projects. The foundation focuses on lifting children from poverty through education one community at a time. All funds raised from this meeting will be donated to one of their education projects. (Suggested donations of $25.00->$50.00 per person) Tax receipts will be available.

We are also asking for 3 school supply type items or children’s books to be donated to Auberge Shalom-a wonderful women’s shelter which serves women and children in crisis in Montreal.

In the spirit of sharing of ideas we will be producing a WINGS cookbook filled with YOUR favorite recipes.
